I could not help but draw this illustration to add it to my thesis and start a petition. We are in 2022, and the German Mathematical Society “Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung” keeps using a gender exclusive name, “Mathematiker” (masculine plural) instead of “Mathematiker*inen” (gender inclusive plural). I do not know if the petition will make a change, but I will at least be at peace about taking an individual step toward it.
